From OZ with Sugar

For this collection, I reimagined dessert plates as narrative objects—each one tied to a character from the book The Wizard of Oz, translated through food, form, and symbol.

Rather than illustrating scenes directly, I built a visual language where each dessert embodies the character itself.

The Cowardly Lion Pairs With Madeleines.

Soft, paw-like forms echo both his physicality and vulnerability.

Blueberry Pavlova Channels Flying Monkeys

Light as air and on the edge of collapse, unpredictable, untethered, and always in motion, as if they might lift or shatter at any moment.

The Apple Galette leans rustic and grounded, rooted in earth and origin—an echo of the Scarecrow’s connection to the land.

Paintings shown here in their original, rustic state, before refinement and digital cleanup.

Scarecrow & Apple Galette

Tin Man & Mille-Feuille

Layered with mechanical precision, the Mille-Feuille mirrors the Tin Man—crisp, exacting, and quietly hollow, with a heart hidden within.

A constellation of micro-icons pulled from each character’s world.
